Yamaha to Use Chennai Plant for US, Europe and Japan Exports
Yamaha is preparing for a strong export year as it aims for 25% growth in 2025. The company is expanding its global strategy with India at the centre, turning its Chennai plant into a hub for advanced markets.
Yamaha Targets 25% Export Growth in 2025
Yamaha closed FY 2024–25 with a 33.4% rise in exports, reaching 2.95 lakh units. Building on that momentum, the company now expects another strong jump as demand increases across global markets.
Chennai Plant to Lead Yamaha’s Global Strategy
Yamaha is developing its Chennai facility to support markets such as the US, Europe and Japan. The factory has already begun exports to Europe, and the brand plans further investment to meet international manufacturing standards.
Models Produced in India for Global Markets
The Chennai plant manufactures models like the FZ series, Crux, Saluto, Aerox 155, Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid for export. Yamaha also exports motorcycles from its Surajpur plant in Uttar Pradesh.

Expansion Into New Global Markets
Yamaha currently exports to 55 countries and is planning to expand further. The company is evaluating new regions, including advanced markets where demand and long-term potential appear strong.
