Volkswagen India has removed the Tiguan SUV from its official website, signaling the end of the model’s run in the country. This move comes ahead of the launch of the more powerful Tiguan R-Line, which is expected to bring a sportier design and better performance.

Volkswagen Tiguan: A Look Back

The Volkswagen Tiguan was introduced as the brand’s flagship SUV in India and had been a strong contender in the premium SUV segment. Despite its premium positioning, the Tiguan faced stiff competition from rivals like the Hyundai Tucson and Citroën C5 Aircross. However, Volkswagen is now gearing up for an even more premium offering with the upcoming Tiguan R-Line.
