Exciting New Cars and SUVs Arriving in April 2025
As the new financial year kicks off, carmakers are gearing up for multiple new launches in India. This April, we’ll see a mix of internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EVs) hitting the market. Some highly anticipated models, like the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line and the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, are making their way to Indian roads. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming launches and what they bring to the table.
Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line

Volkswagen is reintroducing the Tiguan in India, this time as a fully loaded R-Line model. Bookings have already begun with a token amount of ₹25,000. The new Tiguan R-Line will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. It will also get a refreshed design with R-Line badging, LED Plus headlights, and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside, expect premium features like ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a fully digital cockpit.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara

Maruti Suzuki is finally stepping into the EV space with the e-Vitara, a model that made its debut at the 2025 Auto Expo. This SUV is expected to feature multiple drive modes, an ADAS suite, ventilated and power-adjustable front seats, and a Heartect-e platform. While battery and range details remain under wraps, Maruti aims to position the e-Vitara as a strong competitor in the growing EV market.
MG Cyberster

The MG Cyberster, an all-electric sports car, is finally arriving in India. With a 77 kWh battery pack offering a range of approximately 500 km, the Cyberster is designed for high performance. It features a dual-motor setup delivering 503 bhp and 725 Nm, enabling it to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. MG recently opened pre-bookings for the Cyberster, hinting at a strong demand for performance-oriented EVs in India.
Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors is set to expand its electric lineup with the Harrier EV, its most premium electric SUV yet. The Harrier EV will introduce all-wheel drive (AWD) to Tata’s EV range and boast the highest torque figures among Tata’s current lineup. While battery and range details are yet to be revealed, expect advanced connectivity, a large touchscreen, and enhanced driving dynamics.
Skoda Kodiaq (Second Generation)

The Skoda Kodiaq is making a comeback with its second-generation model, unveiled at the 2025 Auto Expo. It will be available in Sportline and Laurin & Klement trims and will be assembled in India through CKD (completely knocked down) kits.
