Tata Sierra ICE Launching in November 2025: What to Expect from the Comeback SUV
The Tata Sierra ICE version will launch in November 2025, featuring both petrol and diesel engines, a triple-screen interior, and modern design updates. It will compete with the Creta, Seltos, and Grand Vitara, priced between ₹10.5–20 lakh.
Tata Motors is finally bringing back the iconic Sierra nameplate to India. The all-new Tata Sierra ICE version will make its debut in November 2025, followed by its electric sibling by the end of the year. The SUV, first showcased in near-production form at the Auto Expo 2025, blends nostalgia with modern design and technology.
Design and Features
The new Sierra will stay true to its classic silhouette while adding a contemporary touch. The front will feature a gloss-black grille, split LED headlamps, and a bold bumper design. Its signature alpine window and boxy profile remain, but the new model comes as a four-door SUV with flush door handles and dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, sleek connected LED tail-lamps and a roof spoiler add a modern edge.
Inside, the Sierra will debut Tata’s first triple-screen layout, featuring a large central infotainment unit, a co-passenger display, and a digital driver’s screen. The SUV will also get a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and a premium JBL sound system. Safety features include multiple airbags, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, ESP, and Level 2 ADAS technology.
Engine and Performance
The Tata Sierra ICE will be offered with petrol and diesel engine options. The new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is expected to produce around 170 PS and 280 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine could also join the lineup. The diesel variants may use the 2.0-litre turbo unit from the Harrier and Safari, producing 170 PS and 350 Nm. Lower variants might feature a smaller 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 118 PS and 260 Nm.
Price and Rivals
The Tata Sierra will enter the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment. It is expected to be priced between ₹10.50 lakh and ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.

Conclusion
With its bold design, advanced features, and multiple powertrain options, the Tata Sierra aims to make a strong comeback in the Indian SUV market. The ICE version’s launch in November 2025 will mark a key milestone for Tata Motors, while the EV version will follow soon after, completing the revival of one of India’s most iconic SUVs.
