Next-Gen Jeep Compass Teased Again, Reveals Fresh Details

The next-gen Jeep Compass is gearing up for its European debut later this year, and Jeep is turning up the heat with fresh teaser images. Shot at Stellantis’ Melfi plant in Italy by photographer Alessandro Dobici, these black-and-white images offer our best look yet at what’s coming.
Modern Looks, Familiar Identity
The teaser images reveal sleek LED headlamps with a grille motif inside the lenses, giving the SUV a sharper, more modern face. While it retains Jeep’s iconic multi-slat vertical grille, the design has been refreshed with illuminated elements likely inspired by the all-electric Jeep Recon.
The signature trapezoidal wheel arches and muscular cladding make a return, helping the Compass maintain its rugged silhouette. Teaser shots also show subtle details like “Since 1941” engraving in the cabin and contrast upholstery stitching, keeping Jeep’s heritage intact.

Powertrain Options Galore
Jeep hasn’t confirmed specs yet, but multiple powertrain options are expected. Globally, the Compass could offer hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and even full-electric variants. That said, markets like India may continue with the familiar petrol and diesel engines.
New Platform, Global Production
The all-new Compass will be underpinned by Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform and will be built at the Melfi plant. Jeep began its teaser campaign late last year, starting with a concept sketch. Since then, the reveal has gradually built momentum.

Will It Come to India?
That remains the big question. Jeep’s sales in India have been underwhelming, but a bold, modern new Compass could help the brand gain traction. While there’s no official word yet, a local launch is not out of the question.
