Third Hero-Harley 440 bike is finally ready for launch
The motorcycle was first scheduled to arrive in September 2025, but the launch was pushed to December due to major resignations and reshuffling inside the company. Hero had earlier confirmed during an investors call that the third 440cc model from the partnership would arrive in Q2 FY26, and the timeline now aligns with that announcement.
What the new 440 bike is expected to be
All signals currently point to the new model being the Scrambler version of the Mavrick 440, showcased globally as the “Hunk 440 SX” at EICMA 2025. It will be based on the same 440cc engine platform as the X440, but with a more rugged design aimed at off-road and adventure-friendly performance.

The scrambler version is expected to get premium upgrades over the roadster. These may include a TFT instrument cluster, USD front forks, revised ergonomics and fresh colour options. Dual-purpose tyres and wider handlebars could also be part of the package to enhance the scrambler identity.
