Mahindra Sells 30,000 Electric SUVs in Just Seven Months
Mahindra has achieved a major milestone by selling over 30,000 units of its all-electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, in just seven months since launch. Both models are part of the company’s Born Electric lineup and have quickly become some of the fastest-selling EVs in India’s growing electric SUV market.
Mahindra’s Electric Success Story
Deliveries for the BE 6 and XEV 9e began in March 2025. By September, Mahindra had already crossed 20,000 cumulative sales, and by November, the figure surged past 30,000 units. This rapid growth highlights the strong demand and consumer confidence in Mahindra’s new generation of electric SUVs. With this milestone, Mahindra continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s top EV manufacturers.
Platform and Powertrain
The BE 6 and XEV 9e are built on Mahindra’s advanced INGLO electric platform. These models come with 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options, offering a claimed range of up to 683km on a single charge. The INGLO architecture supports fast charging, efficient energy management, and enhanced performance, putting Mahindra on par with international EV makers.

Strategy and Future Outlook
The success of the BE 6 and XEV 9e showcases Mahindra’s strong shift from internal combustion vehicles to an electric-first lineup. The Born Electric series represents the brand’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and homegrown engineering excellence. To build on this success, Mahindra will soon introduce its first electric seven-seater SUV, the XEV 9s, later this month.
The Road Ahead
Mahindra’s 30,000 unit milestone marks a defining moment in India’s electric vehicle growth story. As the company expands its BE and XEV range, it aims to make high-performance, long-range electric SUVs more accessible to Indian consumers. With strong demand and a clear vision for the future, Mahindra is driving India’s transition toward sustainable mobility, one milestone at a time.
