Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Gets New Combat Edition With Cruise Control
Hero has unveiled the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition, bringing cruise control and riding modes to the 160cc segment. This new variant sits at the top of the 160R 4V lineup and introduces a bold grey-and-yellow paint scheme along with a few meaningful feature updates.
Combat Edition: What’s New
The Xtreme 160R 4V now gets ride-by-wire, unlocking cruise control and multiple riding modes. These features were first introduced on the Xtreme 125R and are now making their way to the bigger 160cc model.
The grey and yellow Combat Edition theme also gives the motorcycle a sportier visual identity, matching Hero’s other Combat Edition models.
Cruise Control and Riding Modes Added
With ride-by-wire, the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition now offers cruise control—rare in the 160cc class. Riders can also switch between Rain, Road and Sport modes through the new colour-LCD instrument cluster.
New LED Projector Headlight
Hero has upgraded the headlight to the LED projector unit from the Xtreme 250R. This replaces the older reflector setup and adds the brand’s signature ‘H’ DRL for a more premium look.
Key Feature Updates
The new Combat Edition includes ride-by-wire, cruise control, riding modes, a colour-LCD dash and the updated LED projector headlight.
Expected Price and Launch Timeline
Hero has not announced the price yet, but the Xtreme 160R 4V currently starts at ₹1.30 lakh. Since the 125R Combat Edition carries a ₹12,000 premium, the 160R Combat Edition is expected to follow a similar pricing strategy.
What This Means for the 160cc Segment
With cruise control, riding modes and premium lighting, Hero is pushing the 160R 4V further upmarket. This makes it a more appealing option against the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160.
