EICMA 2025: CFMOTO 1000MT X Unveiled with Big Power and True Off Road DNA

CFMOTO made a bold statement at EICMA 2025 with the debut of the 2026 CFMOTO 1000MT X, the new flagship in its MT adventure lineup. Designed for riders who want both long-distance comfort and genuine off-road potential, the 1000MT X combines power, technology, and premium engineering in a lightweight and well-balanced package.

Engine and Performance

At its core, the 1000MT X is powered by a 948.2 cc parallel twin engine that produces 113 horsepower and 105 Nm of torque, developed entirely in-house by CFMOTO. The engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox that includes a quickshifter and slipper clutch for smooth gear changes and precise control on any surface. The ride-by-wire system ensures refined throttle response and efficient power delivery. Weighing 222 kilograms, the 1000MT X stands out as one of the lightest bikes in its class, offering impressive agility and stability on varied terrain.

Design and Equipment

The 1000MT X’s design emphasises strength and practicality. It features a bold stance and a 22.3-litre fuel tank for extended range, while the vertically oriented 8-inch TFT display offers crisp readability even in bright light. Standard features include Bluetooth connectivity, aluminium protection parts, and modern conveniences such as cruise control, adjustable windscreen, and heated grips and seat. Together, these elements make the bike adventure-ready from the factory.

Comfort and Ride Experience

Rider comfort is at the heart of the 1000MT X’s design. The seat height is adjustable between 830 and 870 mm, accommodating a wide range of riders. Its upright ergonomics, wide handlebars, and intuitive control layout ensure confidence on both highways and trails. Whether cruising long distances or navigating rugged terrain, the bike delivers a composed and enjoyable ride.

Off-Road Capability

The 1000MT X excels when the road ends. It features fully adjustable KYB suspension with 230 mm of front travel and 190 mm at the rear, giving it authentic enduro capability. The 21 inch front and 18-inch rear wire spoke wheels are fitted with Pirelli Scorpion STR tires for optimal performance on and off the road. Braking duties are handled by Brembo calipers, supported by Bosch electronics that include cornering ABS and traction control. Both systems are adjustable or can be turned off, allowing riders full freedom on tough terrain.
