Confirmed: 15 New Toyota Models for India by 2030, Including a Rugged Pickup
Toyota’s Big 2030 Plan for India (upcoming Toyota cars in India)
Toyota is gearing up for a major product launch in India, with 15 new models confirmed for introduction by 2030. The Japanese brand, which currently holds around 8% of the Indian car market, aims to increase its share to 10% through aggressive expansion in SUVs, hybrids, and pickups.
Focus on SUVs and a Rugged Pickup
Two of the most exciting upcoming launches will be all-new SUVs, including the Land Cruiser FJ and another model based on the IMV 0 ladder-frame platform. The Land Cruiser FJ, expected in 2028, will be the most affordable member of the iconic Land Cruiser family and will feature hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

Alongside these SUVs, Toyota is developing a rugged, affordable pickup positioned below the Hilux. Designed for semi-urban and rural markets, this new model will prioritise durability and practicality while maintaining Toyota’s reputation for reliability.
Expanding Production and Footprint
To support this major rollout, Toyota is expanding its production capacity beyond one million units per year. A new plant in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, will join the existing Bidadi facility in Karnataka. Together, these factories will serve both domestic and export markets across Africa and the Middle East.
Toyota is also set to introduce compact showrooms and workshops in smaller towns, making its vehicles and service network more accessible in rural India.

What Lies Ahead
This expansion is part of Toyota’s long-term vision to strengthen its presence in India with a balanced mix of SUVs, hybrids, and practical vehicles. With 15 new Toyota models planned for India by 2030, the brand’s roadmap promises to reshape the SUV and pickup landscape.
