Maruti e Vitara Gets 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating
The upcoming Maruti e Vitara has secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, scoring 31.49 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 43 out of 49 points for child occupant protection in India.
Maruti e Vitara Safety Performance
The e Vitara offered strong protection in the frontal offset deformable barrier test, with good ratings for head, neck, pelvis, thighs and feet. Its chest and tibias received adequate protection. In side impact tests, all critical regions including head, chest, abdomen and pelvis were rated good.
Child Safety Results
In the child occupant protection tests, both dummies were positioned rearward-facing and scored full marks in both frontal and side impact trials. While it achieved full points for dynamic and CRS installation scores, it lost 6 points in vehicle assessment.

The top-spec Alpha variant tested includes:
- 7 airbags
- Level-2 ADAS
- 360-degree camera
- TPMS
- ISOFIX mounts
- Electronic parking brake with auto-hold
These ratings also apply to the Delta 49 kWh and Zeta 61 kWh variants.

Rivals and Rating Comparison
The e Vitara competes with the Mahindra BE 6, which also holds a 5-star safety rating but has slightly higher points in both adult and child protection categories.
