Tata Beats Mahindra Again: 57K+ Sales & Strong EV Surge In Nov 2025
Tata Motors delivered a strong performance in November 2025 with domestic passenger vehicle sales of 57,436 units. This marks an impressive 22 percent year-on-year growth compared to 47,063 units sold in November 2024.
The brand continued to hold the third position in the Indian passenger vehicle market, ahead of Mahindra & Mahindra, with only Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai ranked higher.
Sales Highlights
Tata’s momentum wasn’t limited to domestic demand alone. Including exports, the company dispatched a total of 59,199 units in November 2025 — a solid 25.6 percent YoY increase. The tight battle with Mahindra persisted, but Tata kept a clear volume lead once again.
EV sales in India played a major role in this growth, reflecting Tata Motors’ strong push in the electric vehicle segment. Tata’s electric vehicle (EV) portfolio recorded 7,911 units last month, a huge 52 percent increase from 5,202 units in November 2024, further strengthening Tata’s position as India’s number one EV brand. The company continues to dominate the Indian EV space, staying ahead of Mahindra, Hyundai and MG.
Alongside its EV success, exports also saw a dramatic jump. Tata sent out 1,763 units overseas, compared to just 54 units in the same month last year — a massive 3164.8 percent rise.

What’s Supporting the Growth?
Tata’s strong SUV lineup remains at the heart of its growth story. With Punch, Nexon, Harrier, Safari and Curvv performing consistently, the brand has built a solid presence in India’s most competitive segment.
The newly launched Tata Sierra is expected to add more strength. Positioned as a premium SUV, it marks the return of an iconic nameplate. The Sierra brings a modern experience with a triple-screen setup, JBL sound system and advanced safety features.
Outlook
With a steady rise in EV adoption, strong export momentum and multiple new launches planned, Tata Motors is entering 2026 with confidence. The next few months will be crucial as the brand aims to expand volumes further and maintain its lead over Mahindra in the SUV market.
