Harley Davidson X440T unveiled

Harley-Davidson has revealed the new X440 T, the second motorcycle developed under its partnership with Hero MotoCorp, and this new Harley-Davidson X440 T aims to attract riders looking for a premium yet accessible cruiser in India. It builds on the success of the standard X440 but brings subtle design enhancements and feature upgrades for a more premium appeal in the Indian cruiser market.

What’s New in the X440 T?

The most noticeable change is at the rear. The X440 T gets a redesigned tail section with a longer seat that improves pillion comfort. The updated rear cowl adds more visual mass, giving the bike a stronger road presence. Bar-end mirrors replace the standard units, enhancing their retro-fresh character.

There are also bronze accents on the engine casing, a revised exhaust shield and a cleaner layout around the throttle area, which suggests improved cable routing.

New Colours and Possible Feature Upgrades

Four new colour schemes have been confirmed, including red, white, blue and black with fresh graphics. These updates aim to make the X440 T a more stylish alternative to the base model.

There’s also speculation that Harley has equipped the X440 T with a ride-by-wire throttle. If true, this could introduce features like ride modes and switchable traction control — additions that would increase its appeal among feature-conscious buyers.

Same Proven Engine and Hardware

Mechanically, the Harley-Davidson X440 T remains unchanged from the standard model, retaining the trusted 440cc platform that helped the Harley X440 gain popularity in India. It continues to use the 440cc, oil-and-air-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 27 bhp and 38 Nm of peak torque. The frame, suspension, wheels and brakes also remain the same while retaining a slipper/assist clutch and a six-speed gearbox.

India Launch Timeline, Expected Price & Rivals

The Harley-Davidson X440 T will likely sit above the standard X440 as a more premium offering in India, targeting riders considering alternatives like the Triumph Speed 400 and Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The Harley-Davidson X440 T launch in India is expected soon, with pricing likely to see a small premium over the standard X440.

With updated styling and possible new features, the Harley-Davidson X440 T strengthens Harley’s presence in the competitive 400cc motorcycle segment in India and should appeal to buyers looking for a stylish daily cruiser with more comfort and modern tech.
