Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle: Top 5 Things to Know Before India Launch

Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle launch

The Honda WN7 electric motorcycle marks a major milestone for the brand as its first all-electric bike. Unveiled at EICMA 2025, the new naked-style EV is headed to global markets soon. While Honda hasn’t officially confirmed its launch in India, the WN7 is widely expected to arrive here in 2026 as EV adoption gathers pace.

Design & Styling

The Honda WN7 is based on the “Be the Wind” philosophy that focuses on lightweight, agile street riding. It features a slim and futuristic stance with a signature horizontal light bar across the front — a look that will define future Honda electric motorcycles. The black body is highlighted with gold components, giving it a premium and sporty appeal.

Innovative Frameless Chassis

Honda has taken a unique approach with a frameless chassis design that reduces overall weight while improving flexibility. The centrally located battery is housed in an aluminium casing for better balance. Key components like the head pipe and rear pivot bracket are integrated directly into the power unit to enhance stability.

Smart Tech & Everyday Ride Features

The WN7 is equipped with a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity for navigation and smartphone integration. Rider-friendly features include regenerative braking, a deceleration selector and a special Walking Speed Mode that makes moving the bike in tight spaces much easier — ideal for crowded Indian cities.

Battery, Performance & Real-World Range

A 9.3kWh fixed lithium-ion battery provides the WN7 with an estimated range of 130km or more on a single charge, while Honda claims up to 140km on WMTC test conditions. A newly developed, compact water-cooled motor generates 67bhp and 100Nm, putting performance on par with a 600cc petrol bike in power and even a 1000cc bike in torque. A belt-drive system ensures smooth and quiet power delivery.

Charging Time & Fast-Charge Support

The Honda WN7 supports regular home charging, taking about 2.4 hours for a full charge. Fast-charging using the CCS2 standard can juice it up from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes. With India’s DC charging network expanding rapidly, riders should find public charging convenient once the WN7 hits our market.

Conclusion

The Honda WN7 brings futuristic styling, strong performance and smart tech to the world of electric motorcycles. With a potential India launch in 2026, it could become a great option for riders looking to shift from petrol-powered streetfighters to an exciting, eco-friendly alternative.
