Mahindra is gearing up to expand its EV lineup with the debut of the XEV 9S tomorrow in Bengaluru. It will be the brand’s first fully-electric three-row SUV in India, targeting family buyers looking for a premium and spacious electric option.

Premium Design & Spacious Cabin

The Mahindra XEV 9S features a sealed grille design with connected LED lighting and C-shaped signatures. The styling draws inspiration from the XUV.e8 concept while retaining familiar XUV700-like proportions.

Inside, the cabin adopts Mahindra’s latest design theme with a wide three-screen layout across the dashboard. It combines the digital instrument cluster, infotainment, and a dedicated co-passenger screen.

The second row will offer reclining seats with a boss mode for added legroom. Enhancing the sense of airiness is a large panoramic glass roof spanning most of the cabin.

Rear passengers will get a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) system with dedicated tablet holders instead of fixed entertainment screens. The SUV will also offer both a conventional rear boot and an additional front storage compartment.

Built on INGLO EV Platform

The XEV 9S is based on Mahindra’s INGLO skateboard architecture shared with the XEV 9e and BE 6. With a longer wheelbase and a focus on comfort, the suspension setup is expected to be tuned for family use.

Mahindra is likely to target a real-world driving range of over 500 km on a single charge.
