Sportier Citroen Basalt Vision Unveiled in Brazil Ahead of São Paulo Motor Show

Citroen has showcased a sportier version of the Basalt Vision in Brazil ahead of the São Paulo Motor Show. While the concept retains its familiar yellow shade from the 2024 model, it now features several visual enhancements that give the coupe-SUV a more aggressive road presence. With India being one of the major production hubs for the Basalt range, this sportier Vision variant holds clear relevance for the Indian market.

Sportier Citroen Basalt Vision Unveiled

The updated Basalt Vision concept adopts a sharper and more athletic exterior theme. Although the design continues to build on the existing coupe-SUV silhouette, Citroen has added new elements to elevate the SUV’s sporty appeal. The Vision badging on the doors further highlights its special-edition positioning.

Exterior Upgrades and Sporty Styling

Big changes include redesigned bumpers, 18-inch petal-style alloy wheels, and red brake calipers that immediately stand out. Red accents across the body add to the contrast, while the lowered stance enhances its sporty proportions. Even though the interior hasn’t been revealed yet, the SUV clearly aims to offer a more performance-inspired take on the Basalt’s design.

Interior Features Expected

Citroen confirms that the Basalt Vision concept is based on the top-spec model. Once revealed, the cabin is likely to feature dual digital screens, automatic climate control, connected car technology, and ventilated front seats. These features are expected to mirror the already well-equipped Basalt X currently on sale in India.

India Relevance — Could Arrive as a Styling Pack

Citroen has labelled this model as a Vision variant, suggesting it could come as a cosmetic or design pack for the India-spec Basalt. India recently received the Basalt X, which brought fresh styling updates and interior enhancements. The Basalt lineup in India continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre NA petrol or a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, paired with manual and automatic gearbox options.
