The RC 160 was seen on test undisguised, revealing a familiar RC-series design. Based on the 160 Duke, it shares the same frame while adopting a full-fairing layout. The test mule confirms its sharp styling, upright windscreen, and an aerodynamic structure inspired by KTM’s larger RC models.

Design Details Revealed

The spy shots show clip-on handlebars, fairing-mounted mirrors, and a sculpted fuel tank designed for a sporty stance. The RC 160 also appears to get split seats, split grab rails, and wide 17-inch alloys. Its committed riding posture is supported by rear-set footpegs, giving it a true supersport feel.

Features Expected on KTM RC 160

The upcoming RC 160 is expected to pack a 5-inch digital LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support. It may also include a bi-directional quick-shifter, similar to the Yamaha R15. Hardware such as USD front forks, a rear mono-shock, dual disc brakes, dual-channel ABS, and wide tyres further enhance its performance credentials.

Engine and Performance

Powering the RC 160 will be the same 164cc single-cylinder, DOHC liquid-cooled engine used in the 160 Duke. This engine produces 18.74 hp at 9500 rpm and 15.5 Nm at 7500 rpm. While KTM hasn’t confirmed any tuning changes, the RC 160 is expected to offer a slightly sharper character suited for spirited riding.

KTM RC 160 Launch Timeline & Expected Price

The new RC 160 is likely to make its India debut by early 2026. It will become KTM’s new entry-level supersport, sitting below the RC 200 in the lineup. Pricing is expected to be slightly above the Duke 160, positioning it directly against the Yamaha R15 and other faired motorcycles in the segment.
