Tata Sierra EV (Early 2026)

The Tata Sierra EV will follow the ICE version and share its EV hardware with the Curvv EV and Harrier EV, positioning it as one of the most anticipated upcoming electric SUVs in India. Expected to use a large battery pack similar to the e-Harrier, it will position itself as a premium midsize electric SUV in India with strong performance and a modern design.
Mahindra XEV 9S (November 27 Launch)

The Mahindra XEV 9S will become the brand’s first all-electric three-row SUV and one of the key new electric SUVs coming to India with serious long-distance capability. It is based on the INGLO skateboard platform and will come with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. Expected to deliver a real-world range of over 500 km, the XEV 9S strengthens Mahindra’s growing electric SUV lineup.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara (Next Month)

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, one of the most awaited upcoming electric SUVs 2025, will offer 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options. It gets features like ventilated seats, Level 2 ADAS and a premium cabin. As one of the most important upcoming electric SUVs in India, it will be produced at Maruti’s Gujarat plant.
Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV (Early 2026)
The Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV will share its platform, batteries and internal components with the e Vitara. However, it will feature a differentiated exterior design. This electric SUV adds Toyota to the growing list of brands bringing new EV SUVs to India.
Mahindra XUV 3XO EV (2026)
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV has been spied testing in India and will compete with the Tata Punch EV and select Nexon EV variants. As a compact electric SUV, it aims to target buyers seeking a more affordable, city-friendly EV.
Mahindra BE Rall-E (2026)

Based on the BE6, the Mahindra BE Rall-E will arrive as a rugged, off-road-focused electric SUV. With its unique styling and stronger stance, it adds variety to Mahindra’s electric lineup.
Hyundai Compact e-SUV (2025)
Hyundai is developing a new compact electric SUV for India, strengthening its presence in the fast-growing compact electric SUV space, expected to take inspiration from the global Inster. It will be positioned below the Creta Electric and compete directly in the growing compact electric SUV segment.
Kia Syros EV (2025–26)
Kia may also introduce a compact electric SUV based on the Syros platform. Although not officially confirmed, it is expected to launch around the same time as Hyundai’s upcoming EV.
