KTM 390 Adventure Gets Big Price Hike After GST 2.0
KTM has revised the prices of its popular 390 Adventure lineup after months of holding back the impact of the GST 2.0 hike. With taxation on two-wheelers above 350cc rising to 40% under the new GST regime, the brand initially absorbed the increase to keep festive-season demand strong. Now, post-festive season, the KTM 390 Adventure and 390 Adventure X have become significantly more expensive.
KTM Hikes Prices of 390 Adventure Range After GST 2.0
The standard KTM 390 Adventure has received a price hike of Rs 27,000, bringing its new ex-showroom price to Rs 3.95 lakh. Meanwhile, the more affordable 390 Adventure X gets a hike of Rs 22,410 and now costs Rs 3.26 lakh (ex-showroom).
With this update, the price gap between the 390 Adventure X and its key rival, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, has narrowed once again. The standard 390 Adventure now nearly touches the Rs 5 lakh on-road mark in several states, placing it on the expensive side of the sub-400cc adventure bike category.
What Stays the Same: Engine and Features
Despite the hike, both models continue with the same hardware and performance. The 390 Adventure range is powered by a 398.63cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled LC4C engine producing 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox, slip and assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.
Features remain unchanged as well, including the 5-inch colour TFT display, ride modes, traction control, ride-by-wire, cruise control, cornering ABS, full LED lighting, smartphone connectivity with navigation and a USB charging port.

Value Proposition After the Price Hike
The 390 Adventure X still offers strong value for money with essential adventure-touring equipment. On the other hand, the standard 390 Adventure continues to attract hardcore off-road enthusiasts with its 19/17-inch tubeless spoke wheels and adjustable suspension setup.
However, with the updated pricing, buyers may reassess the value equation, especially when rivals like the Himalayan 450 offer competitive performance at a lower price point.
KTM’s latest update reflects the broader industry trend following GST 2.0, where many high-capacity motorcycles are witnessing noticeable price corrections.
