Top 10 Best-Selling Sedans in October 2025: Dzire Dominates Again

Best Selling Sedans in October

The sedan segment may not be the star of the Indian market today, but October 2025 showed that loyal buyers still keep it alive. The month brought sharp swings in sales, with some models soaring and others slipping, highlighting how dynamic the segment remains.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Leads by a Huge Margin

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire extended its dominance with 20,791 units, a massive jump from last year’s 12,698 units. The 64% YoY growth was the highest among mass-market sedans. The new-generation Dzire has clearly struck the right chord with buyers thanks to its redesigned exterior, improved cabin, added features, and strong safety rating with a full five-star crash-test score.

Hyundai Aura Holds Steady at Second

The Hyundai Aura maintained a solid second place with 5,815 units, rising from 4,805 units a year earlier. Its 21% growth may not match the Dzire’s surge, but it keeps Hyundai competitive in the compact sedan space. Consistent updates and better equipment have helped the Aura stay relevant.

Honda Amaze Shows Strong Recovery

The Honda Amaze secured third place with 3,630 units, marking a healthy 52% YoY growth. The festive season and GST 2.0–linked price drop played a crucial role in helping the Amaze regain traction.

VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia Continue Their Rivalry

Volkswagen Virtus

Volkswagen contributed 2,453 units to the midsize sedan segment, reflecting a mild 4% YoY rise. Close behind, the Skoda Slavia posted 1,648 units, almost identical to its performance last year. Their consistent numbers show how tightly matched these two sedans remain in the market.

Tata Tigor Finds Positive Momentum

The Tata Tigor managed 1,196 units, up from 926 units in October 2024. The 29% improvement brings some positivity for Tata in the sedan segment, where the brand has often struggled.

Verna and City Face a Sharp Decline

The Hyundai Verna saw its numbers drop to 824 units from 1,272 last year, a 35% decline. Meanwhile, the Honda City fell even further—slipping to 578 units from 1,004 units, registering a 42% dip. Both models face increasing pressure from premium SUVs and slowing sedan demand.

Toyota Camry Sees a Healthy Boost

The Toyota Camry recorded 276 units, rising from 176 units in the previous year. It’s 57% YoY growth highlights the steady interest in hybrid sedans, even within a niche segment.
