7 New SUVs Launching in India Within the Next 4–5 Weeks

India’s SUV market is set for a busy month as brands prepare to introduce new petrol, hybrid and electric SUVs. These upcoming models include long-range EVs, next-gen mid-size SUVs and premium three-row options, making the next few weeks crucial for buyers planning an upgrade.

New-Gen Kia Seltos

Kia will unveil the second-generation Seltos globally on December 10. This new Seltos 2025 model brings a Telluride-inspired design, a more premium stance and a potential hybrid option for global markets. It is expected to grow in size and gain updated tech features. An India launch could follow in early 2026, making it one of the most-awaited upcoming SUV launches.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV

Maruti Suzuki’s first all-electric SUV, the e Vitara, will debut next month. Production is underway at the Gujarat plant, which also handles exports. The e SUV will come with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, offering a claimed real-world range of over 500 km—positioning it strongly among upcoming electric SUVs in India. This model also marks the start of Maruti’s major EV rollout for 2025.

Tata Harrier & Safari Petrol

Tata Motors will introduce petrol-powered versions of the Harrier and Safari on December 9. Both SUVs will use the new 1.5L turbo GDI petrol engine producing 168 PS and 280 Nm. Manual and automatic options will be available. With the rising demand for petrol SUVs, this launch targets buyers seeking premium SUVs under ₹ 25 lakh and strengthens Tata’s 2025 SUV lineup.

Tata Sierra ICE & EV

The all-new Tata Sierra will be unveiled on November 25 in both ICE and EV versions. Its design blends the classic Sierra silhouette with modern styling. Inside, it will feature a triple-screen layout, a panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS. The launch of the Tata Sierra EV also adds another long-range electric SUV to the Indian market, appealing to buyers looking for a premium EV in 2025.

Mahindra XEV 9S

Mahindra will showcase the XEV 9S on November 27 as its first electric three-row SUV. Built on the INGLO platform, it will share battery technology with other Mahindra EVs. With styling inspired by the XUV.e8 concept and an expected range of more than 500 km, the XEV 9S aims to be one of the top upcoming 7-seater electric SUVs in India, targeting families wanting a premium EV option.
