New 2026 Kawasaki Z1100 Arrives in India With Major Upgrades
Kawasaki has launched the 2026 Z1100 in India at ₹12.79 lakh. The updated model brings fresh styling touches, stronger hardware, and a more capable electronics package to the litre-class naked segment.
Engine and Performance
The 2026 Kawasaki Z1100 continues with its 1,099cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, producing 134 hp at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm at 7,600 rpm. This setup delivers smooth acceleration and a strong mid-range suited for both city and highway riding. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch that helps control rear-wheel hop during aggressive downshifts. A bidirectional quickshifter further improves riding convenience.
Chassis and Suspension
Kawasaki has retained the aluminium frame from the Ninja 1100SX, giving the Z1100 a balanced and lightweight structure. The standard version features fully adjustable Showa suspension, offering flexibility for different riding conditions. The SE variant steps up with a Showa fork and an Öhlins S46 monoshock equipped with a remote preload adjuster, allowing finer control over comfort and stability.
Brakes and Hardware
Braking performance has improved with larger 310mm dual discs at the front. The standard model uses Kawasaki-branded Tokico radial callipers that provide reliable stopping power. The SE version offers a more premium setup with Brembo M4.32 callipers and steel-braided brake lines, giving the bike a stronger bite and better heat management during spirited riding.
Features and Electronics
The 2026 Z1100 comes packed with rider-focused electronics. It offers Full and Low power modes and three traction control levels with the option to switch them off. Cruise control and dual-channel ABS enhance long-distance comfort and safety. A five-axis IMU supports the electronic aids and helps improve stability during braking, acceleration, and cornering.
