Yamaha has taken the Indian two-wheeler market by storm with the launch and unveiling of four new products that stretch across petrol and electric categories. The lineup includes the XSR155, FZ-RAVE, EC-06, and Aerox Electric, highlighting Yamaha’s strategy to appeal to both traditional riders and the growing EV crowd in India.
Yamaha XSR155 – Retro appeal meets modern performance

The Yamaha XSR155 has been launched at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Built on the R15 platform, it pairs a 155cc liquid-cooled engine producing 18.1 bhp and 14.2 Nm with retro-inspired styling. The round LED headlamp, teardrop tank, and LCD console give it a timeless design, while traction control and dual-channel ABS add safety. Yamaha also offers Scrambler and Café Racer accessory kits for added style.
Yamaha FZ-RAVE – Sharper city commuter

Priced at Rs 1.17 lakh, the FZ-RAVE updates Yamaha’s proven 149cc formula with sharper looks and everyday practicality. It produces 12.2 bhp from its air-cooled single-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. A sculpted fuel tank, projector LED headlamp, and 136 kg kerb weight make it nimble for urban rides. It also features front and rear disc brakes with single-channel ABS for confident braking.
Yamaha EC-06 – Long-range electric debut

Yamaha’s EC-06 marks its official entry into India’s EV segment. It runs on a 4kWh fixed battery offering a 160km certified range and uses a 4.5kW motor with 6.7kW peak output. The EC-06 features an LCD display, three riding modes, a reverse assist, and a generous 24.5-litre storage space. The scooter will launch in early 2026, expanding Yamaha’s presence in premium electric mobility.
Yamaha Aerox Electric – Familiar form, new heart
The Aerox-E carries the same sporty design as its petrol sibling but gets an all-new electric motor producing 9.4kW and 48Nm of torque. It packs a dual 3kWh battery setup, delivering a certified 106km range. The removable battery can be charged at home, while features like Eco, Standard, and Power modes, along with Boost and reverse assist, make it practical yet fun.
Yamaha’s new wave for India
With two petrol-powered launches and two electric unveilings, Yamaha’s 2025 lineup shows a bold strategy to dominate both conventional and future mobility spaces. The brand’s mix of design, reliability, and technology is set to give Indian buyers more choices and stronger reasons to return to Yamaha showrooms.
