2025 Hero Passion Plus Launched at ₹82,016 With New Colours & OBD-2B Engine

Hero Passion Plus Gets a Refresh for 2025
Hero MotoCorp has quietly updated one of its most trusted commuter motorcycles, the Passion Plus. The 2025 model is now priced at ₹82,016 (ex-showroom, Jaipur), which is around ₹1,750 more than the outgoing version. While the changes may seem subtle, they are essential to keep the motorcycle relevant in today’s market.
New Colour Options and Design Tweaks
Hero has revised the colour palette of the Passion Plus for 2025. Two existing shades — Black Heavy Grey and Black Nexus Blue — have been retained, while two new shades have been added: Bluish Teal and Sports Red Black. In the process, the older Black Grey Stripe and Sport Red have been phased out.
Visually, there are no major changes. The test mule spotted recently still featured the same 18-inch black alloy wheels and red rear shocks, indicating that Hero is sticking to a tried-and-tested look without drastic styling changes.
Familiar Dimensions and Rider-Friendly Ergonomics
The overall dimensions of the bike remain unchanged. It continues to offer a balanced commuter-friendly profile with a length of 1982 mm and a seat height of 790 mm, which makes it easy to handle for shorter riders. The kerb weight stays at 115 kg, and the 11-litre fuel tank ensures a decent range without frequent fuel stops.
Practical Features for Daily Commuting
Being an entry-level commuter, the Passion Plus doesn’t go overboard with tech. However, it includes useful additions like a mobile charging port and an under-seat utility box. The braking is handled by an Integrated Braking System, and the suspension setup uses telescopic forks at the front and dual shocks at the rear.
Engine Now OBD-2B Compliant
Mechanically, the Passion Plus retains its reliable 97.2 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. While the core performance remains the same — 7.91 bhp at 8000 rpm and 8.05 Nm at 6000 rpm — the engine has now been updated to meet OBD-2B emission norms. It continues to use a 4-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch.
Final Thoughts
The 2025 Hero Passion Plus may not bring radical changes, but it stays true to what it does best — offering a dependable, affordable ride for everyday commuting. With updated emissions compliance and refreshed colours, it’s just enough of an upgrade to keep buyers interested without disrupting the bike’s proven formula.
